Ursuline High School

featured_ursulineUrsuline High School Wimbledon has served the local community by providing education for Catholic girls for more than 100 years. It is part of a worldwide network of schools which draw their inspiration from the life and work of St Angela Merici.

Ofsted judged our school as Outstanding in November 2006. It reported :-

"the Headteacher gives inspiring leadership to a team of teachers and administrators dedicated to raising standards and providing the widest possible range of opportunities for all students".

Students at the Ursuline are encouraged and supported to make the most of the opportunities presented to them, to develop their gifts and to grow into mature and successful women aware of the society in which they live and to always be ready to be of service to others.

The school is justly proud of the fact that:

•    85% of Year 11 students who sat GCSEs in 2008 attained 5+ A*-C passes;

•    29% of all entries at GCSE were A*/A grades;

•    48·5% of A-level passes were A and B grades.

The school is a flourishing Business and Enterprise Specialist School with outstanding facilities not only in its specialist departments of Mathematics, ICT and Business, but also across the school. It offers exciting curriculum opportunities to Year 7 students through its Anywhere Anytime Learning project.
